The Drift Den Podcast

I wanted to create The Drift Den as a soft-landing place, a space where you can gently unwind, settle your thoughts, and ease your body into rest through guided meditations and bedtime stories. Living with chronic illness and chronic pain has made sleep a challenge for me, but over the last six years, meditation and soothing nighttime stories have become a lifeline, helping me drift into sleep with more comfort and calm. I wanted to build a sanctuary for anyone who struggles to fall asleep, wrestles with racing thoughts, or simply needs a moment to exhale. Whether you’re here to relax, to reset, or to drift off completely, this space is for you.

Tonight’s episode invites you to slow down, soften your thoughts, and gently shift your mindset toward the positive. It’s easy to fall into patterns of negative thinking, especially on quiet days when the weather feels heavy or your mind has too much room to wander. This meditation is designed to help you redirect those thoughts with intention, warmth, and compassion — something you can carry with you throughout the week.
After the meditation, you’ll drift into a 12‑minute bedtime story set inside a cozy cabin on a lake during a rainy summer afternoon. The world outside is hushed, the air smells like pine and warm rain, and the lake ripples softly under the storm.
